Routing Algorithms
There are three different algorithms which are the basis for the orchestrator will behave.
Highest Approval Rate:
This option is like picking the “luckiest road” for a payment. The system looks at which gateway has been saying “yes” the most, and sends the payment there.
Recent Wins: It checks which gateways have been approving payments lately.
Big Picture: It also remembers how gateways have done across the whole system over time.
Extra Info Helps: If you give it card type info (BIN) or business type info (MCC), it can be even smarter by matching trends for those.
No Extra Info? That’s okay — it just uses recent and past approval history.
Bottom line: this algorithm tries to send payments through the gateway that’s most likely to approve it right now.
Note: When you add a new gateway, the system uses a special “learning period” behind the scenes. This helps the gateway get a fair chance to prove itself and prevents payments from being routed in unexpected ways while it’s new.
Round Robin
This algorithm evenly distributes across all eligible gateways.
Payments will only go through if they match one of your rules. If a payment doesn’t fit any rule, it won’t be processed (it will fail). To prevent a failure, make sure you add a default gateway to campaigns - this will be the fallback.

Let's continue with Subscription Routing.
